**Bhubaneswar: ** The Regional Meteorological Centre on Monday predicted that deep depression is likely to trigger heavy to very heavy rainfall and thundershower at most places in the districts of North Odisha and at many places over districts of South Odisha during the next 24 hours.
As per the weather forecast bulletin, a depression has been formed over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Bay of Bengal. The system is very likely to move initially west-northwestwards and intensify into a deep depression during next 24 hours.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall predicted at one or two places in districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Angul, Dhenkanal and Maurbhanj and heavy rainfall at one or two places in districts of Sonepur, Deogarh, Boudh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur during next 24 hours.
Strong gusty surface wind from Northeasterly direction in North Coastal Odisha and wind from Westerly direction in South Coastal Odisha with speed reaching 45-55 KMPH gusting to 65 KMPH is likely to prevail along and off Odisha Coast.
Sea condition would be rough to very rough along and off Odisha coast.
Local cautionary signal Number 3 (LC-III) hoisted at Paradip and Gopalpur Ports in Odisha.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea along and off Odisha coast, the Met Centre warned.
