Bhubaneswar: Parmeswar Swain, a labourer, working with a Pakistani firm in Saudi Arabia, has sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s help through social media alleging torture by his employer.
Swain said that the Pakistani firm is not paying his wages and beating him up mercilessly whenever he demands his remuneration.
Adressing PM Modi On January 5, Swain tweeted, “Dear sir please help me am working in Saudi Arabia in a Pakistani company they attacked me and company not providing salary.”
His first tweet, regarding this, came in 19th December. Since then Parameswar tried to draw attendtion from the authorities with several tweets.
In another tweet to Foreign Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj on December 24, he wrote, “My employer torture me not paying salary and Pak workers attack me. Please help me to rescue before they will kill me.”
Parameswar, a resident of Cuttack, is working in Jeddah city in Saudi Arabia since 2015.
