Nuapada: One Hemant Rana of Gharadhara village under Khariar block of Nuapada district climbed up a tower to protest against unavailability of water.
According to reports, Rana and other villagers used water from a tubewell which is on the premises of local Anganwadi centre. However, the staff of Anganwadi centre have shut the campus and restrictied them from drawing water, alleged Rana.
While Rana threatened to commit suicide, a team of fire service personnel and police have been deployed on the spot to rescue the youth.
