Bhubaneswar: A leopard died after falling into a trap set for wild boars at a forest near Bhiruda village under Tigiria forest range under Athagarh Division in Cuttack on Monday night.
Reportedly, some poacher had laid the trap in the forest to hunt wild boars. However, the leopard going on its way fell into the trap last night. After several attempts of trying to free itself, the leopard died in the trap.
On getting information, forest officials rushed to the spot and have initiated a probe into the matter.
