The application has been launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in October 2020. Since roll-out, nearly 1.15 lakh new service connection applications have been given online and around 7,000 consumer grievances addressed.
The portal has not only eliminated the need for physical visits of consumers and general public to concerned electricity offices but also helped in minimizing time-consuming manual process.
‘Mo Bidyut’ has been implemented as part of the governance reform initiative for more transparency, accountability and seamless delivery of electrical services by the Department. It has transformed the existing service delivery system by making it more efficient, convenient, and time-bound.
