Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) will remain closed from January 17 to January 25 to check the spread of COVID-19 in the office. According to a note shared by the OHRC today, the decision was taken after detection of COVID positive cases in the Commission’s headoffice here at Toshali Bhavan.
“In view of sudden rise of COVID-19 infections in the state as well as detection of positive cases amongst the officers and staff in the office of the Odisha Human Rights Commission, in order to adopt strict social distancing and isolation measures to stop further spread of COVID-19 infections, the Commission shall remain completely shutdown from January 17 to January 25 (Both days Inclusive),” the note stated.
“During this period matters of extremely urgent in nature shall only be taken up for hearing through virtual mode. During the period of shutdown the Complaints/Petitions shall be filed through official email (ohrcanic.in) only,” the note added.
For such urgent hearing the person concerned can call on the number – 9437092632 (Private Secretary to Chairperson). Extremely urgent matters can be taken up/heard after obtaining permission from the Chairperson. The party(ies)/Person(s) interested for virtual hearing, shall provide their mobile number and email address in advance, the Commission stated.
