Keonjhar: Two bodies of a man and a woman were spotted by the road near Golabandha in Anandpur here on Tuesday. According to reports, the bodies are of a couple who were knocked down by a speeding vehicle. The duo belonged to Gohirabani village in the locality.
Police have retrieved the bodies and sent those for autopsy. A case has been registered and efforts on to trace the vehicle which caused the accident.
The deceased were identified as Rusia Sankhual and Kalabati Sankhual. The mishap took place on Bhadrak – Karanjia (NH 53), when the couple was returning from a local haat with vegetables to their village. The speeding vehicle fled from the spot after killing the couple, reports stated.
