Bhubaneswar: Three persons, including one posing as a customer, looted around Rs 49,000 from a medicine store at Indradhanu Market in Jayadev Vihar area of Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Reportedly, one of them had visited the medicine store yesterday and had asked the medicine store owner to give him a Horlicks. After receiving the Horlicks, the person left the spot without paying.
Subsequently, the medicine store owner ran behind him leaving the shop open unaware that two other persons were waiting for the opportunity. One of them entered the medicine store and decamped with all the money kept at the cash counter.
After returning back, the medicine store owner found the cash counter empty. He checked the CCTV camera footage and came to know about the crime. He has lodged a complaint in this regard at Nayapalli Police Station.
