Bhubaneswar: The city’s Covid-19 active caseload breached the 11,000 mark today.
With the detection of 1,532 new Covid-19 positives from the city in the last 24 hours(till 9 AM today), the number of active cases stood at 1,1156, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed on Twitter this evening.
While there were no new fatalities due to Covid in the city during the last 24 hours, 1,314 have recovered from the disease during the same period. The cumulative Covid death toll in the city stands at 1,109.
Out of the 1532 new Covid positives detected in the city, 1,484 are local contact cases while the remaining 48 are quarantine cases.
The maximum number of new local contact cases were detected from Khandgiri (147), Patia(136), Nayapalli (121) and Chandrasekharpur (114) to name a few.
