Bhubaneswar: The Bureau of Immigration has issued a lookout circular against prime accused in a loan fraud case in Odisha. The lookout circular was released after Odisha’s Economic Offences Wing wrote to the BOI against the Managing Director of Sambandh Finserve Pvt Lit, Deepak Kindo.
The EOW has booked Kindo in a case under multiple Sections of the IPC. The case was registered by the EOW on December 31, 2021. Kindo allegedly availed loan of Rs 5 crore from Annapurna Finance by furnishing fraudulent documents. During 2015-2020, Kindo through his company raised more than Rs 100 crore from different investors and lenders for carrying on financial activities effectively by giving loans to different SHG and Joint Liability Groups.
“However, after availing the loan/ finance, the accused company violated the terms and condition of finance and misappropriated the amount without making repayment. An EOW official said, “Look Out circular is generally issued to alert immigration check posts at airports/seaports etc. to prevent the absconding accused person leaving the country and alerting law enforcement agency/ police. In the above case, earlier another accused Amrita Kindo was arrested. Accused Deepak Kindo is absconding, evading police arrest.”
