Bhubaneswar: On Thursday 454 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the Capital City taking the coronavirus tally of Bhubaneswar to 1,53,651. With 510 recoveries during the same period, the active cases tally stood at 12,095, information shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) revealed.
Out of the local contact cases, 50 were detected in Khandagiri while 26 COVID cases were reported in Chandrasekharpur. 15 and 12 cases were detected in Baramunda and Jharpada areas of the city on Thursday, the BMC stated. No deaths due to COVID-19 were reported during the last 24 hours. So far, 1126 persons have died due to COVID in the city.
