Dhenkanal: A woman belonging to Raghunathpur village has alleged that she has lost her eyesight following surgery. According to the woman, Bilasini Sahoo, she had undergone an eye operation in a hospital on the outskirts of Dhenkanal town a few days back.
Sahoo had come to the hospital along with her husband Sankar Sahoo on December 14. Sankar had surgery on the same day when his wife was told that she also needs eye surgery.
“However, after I underwent surgery, I lost my eyesight. I rushed to Bhubaneswar where the doctors at another renowned hospital said that I never needed an operation,” Sahoo said.
The woman has filed a complaint in this connection at Town Police station alleging medical negligence. She has also appealed to the Collector seeking justice.
