Puri: Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera had to face the ire of locals over bad roads in Boitakuda village in Astaranga block on Tuesday night. Behera accopanied by former block chairman Swadhin Nayak had gone to the village to discuss the issued with locals.
However, the villagers were unsatisfied with the work undertaken by leaders towards development of the region. A video of the leaders engaging in a debate with the villagers has gone viral on the social media. Behera had gone to the village to campaign for the candidate contesting panchayat polls.
The locals complained that they have approached the officials time and again for a proper road to their village however, their pleas have fallen into deaf ears. A similar protest was witnessed when women of Zone 18 in Nimapara’s Durgapur village entered into a debate with School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Tuesday morning.
