Bhubaneswar: Four students of a private engineering college have gone missing from the few days. The college authorities reported the matter to Tamando police after the four did not turn up for classes for a long time.
The four students, Aditya Kumar and Shekhar Singh Rajput of Bihar, and Vishal Pandey and Trinetra Kumar of Jharkhand. The four were staying together in a rented accommodation here.
There are chances that the four might have left for their respective native places. However, the police have registered an FIR and launched a search for the missing students. Their mobile phones were last traced at Sambalpur, reports stated.
According to Police, the youths used to develop lucrative advertisements related to financial products like loans and post those on the Internet. The complainant, in this case, got a loan sanctioned and within minutes around Rs 2 lakh were stolen from his bank account. The trio used fake SIM cards for calling unsuspecting victims.
