Jajpur: Fourteen persons have been held for their alleged involvement in the booth capturing incidents at two separate places in Jajpur during the first phase of the panchayat elections.
While Jajpur Sadar Police have arrested two persons in connection with the booth capturing in Rudrapur, Dharamsala Police have arrested 12 persons for their involvement in booth capturing in Dharamsala.
The two arrested by Sadar Police have been identified as Karunakar Acharya and Maninath Sahu. They had captured booth number 5 at Rudrapur village.
Similarly, the other 12 persons are accused of capturing booths number 6 and 7 at Chainihuda Project Primary School, and booth number 8 at Nalkul.
