Puri: A meeting between the Chhatisha Nijog and the Niti Sub-Committee of Shree Jagannath Temple meeting was held here Thursday where SOPs pertaining to darshan at the shrine were finalised.
Chief Administrator, SJTA, Dr Krishan Kumar chaired the meeting following which it was declared that from February 21 onwards devotees will not need to produce vaccination certificate or RTPCR report for entry into the temple.
Public darshan will be permitted from 6 am to 9 pm, amid strict enforcement of COVID appropriate behaviour. The temple will remain closed for public darshan on all Sundays for sanitisation.
A priority queue will be made operational for Senior citizen devotees and others, who are visiting temple for darshan. A detailed guideline on this will be issued soon, the SJTA stated. Safe drinking water will be made available to the devotees as they wait in the queue.
Among others, Collector, Additional SP, senior officials of SJTA, Sevak Members of Shree Jagannatha Temple Managing Committee and members of Chhatisha Nijog were present.
