Bhubaneswar: The Fourth phase of voting for election to Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) completed on Tuesday with 79 percent polling, informed the State Election Commission (SEC).
The election was being held for 163 Zilla Parishad seats at 17,089 booths in 1,254 Gram Panchayats under 64 blocks in 27 districts of Odisha.
Subarnapur registered the highest 86.51% voter turnout while Ganjam district was lowest at 65.2%. As many as 11 out of 27 districts that went to poll recorded more than 80% voter footfall in the fourth phase of panchayat polls.
