Bhubaneswar: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a ‘yellow warning’ predicting thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Rayagada in the next 24 hours.
The IMD has also forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Sundargarh, Kandhamal, and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha in the next 48 hours.
However dry weather is very likely to prevail in Odisha from February 27 to March 2.
In this connection, the Special Relief Commissioner’s Office has issued an advisory to the Collectors of Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Rayagada.
