Bhubaneswar: The State Government evacuated 65 Odia students stranded in Kharkiv and Pisochin and shifted them to safer spots in Western Ukraine in two special buses.
As per Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s orders, four special representatives of the State Government facilitated the transfer of the students who were facing a lot of difficulties over the last few days.
So far, 199 Odia students have returned to the State. The Centre is making arrangements to get the rest of the students back home. Resident Commissioner of Odisha is coordinating the efforts on behalf of the State, a press note released by the CMO on Friday read.
