Bhubaneswar: Odisha today bagged two gold medals and one silver medal at National Weightlifting Championships 2021-2022.
Odisha’s Kuldip Sahu clinched gold in 73 kg Youth Men’s Category by lifting a total of 265 kg- 119 kg in Snatch and 146 kg in Clean & Jerk.
Similarly, in the 73 kg Inter-State Senior Men’s Category, Odisha’s Mihir Kanta Sethi bagged gold by lifting a total of 263 kg-127 kg in Snatch and 163 kg in Clean & Jerk.
Besides, in the 73 kg, Men’s Senior Category Sethi ranked second and bagged a silver medal by lifting 290 kg.
Indian Weightlifting Federation in association with Odisha Weightlifting Association with support from Sports and Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha, is organizing the event at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium of KIIT University here.
