Bhubaneswar: As the Budget Session of Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) began today, Governor Ganeshi Lal moved obituary references for the departed MLAs, MPs from Odisha, Covid warriors, and martyrs.
The Governor paid obituary references to former Odisha Assembly Speaker Kishore Kumar Mohanty, former Chief Minister Hemananda Biswal, former ministers Ram Krushna Patnaik, Duryodhan Majhi, Rajeev Lochan Hota, and others.
“The House may convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the departed souls,” said Lal.
Speaking about the losses faced by all during the pandemic, the Governor acknowledged the healthcare and frontline workers, and all who stood up in the face of the pandemic.
He commended the State Government and all officials for taking the right and timely step to vaccinate the eligible age group to contain the spread of the virus and to balance the economy.
The Governor listed the projects initiated by the State Government in the field of healthcare, infrastructure, connectivity, etc. He also commended the effort of the government for creating job opportunities.
