Bhubaneswar: A man killing five members of his elder brother’s family at Kusupur village under Mahanga police limits in Cuttack and surrendering before police after releasing a confession video has shocked the State.
The accused identified as Siba Sahu had already stated in the video that he was at loggerheads with his elder brother Alekh Sahu. After being attacked by his elder brother and his family on Monday night, he lost self-control and murdered them.
Siba’s story has been backed by his wife, who had been locked inside a room when the murder was carried out. She said that she had heard her husband arguing with his elder brother over some keys.
It was for the last 10-12 years, that they were being tortured by Alekh and his family, claimed Siba’s wife. On that night, Siba was again harassed by them. Finally, he decided to take action and murdered them at around 3 am.
Later, Siba unlocked the door and threatened her to leave the place or else he would kill her also, she added.
