Puri: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Padmashri Sudarshan Pattanaik has wished all a very happy Odia new year. Pattanaik has carved a beautiful sand art of Lord Jagannath at the beach to mark the Odia New Year which falls on Maha Visubha Sankranti tomorrow.
Similarly, international sand artist, Manas Kumar Sahoo has conveyed his wishes to everyone on the occasion of “Hanuman Jayanti” and “The Odia New Year” also known as “Pana Sankranti” through his art form.
Sahoo has built an enormous and magnificent sand sculpture of Lord Hanuman at Puri beach near the Light House.
The sand sculpture is 17 feet wide in which about 12 tons of sand have been used. He took about 7 hours in doing so. He conveys Hanuman Jayanti & Odia New Year wishes through his Sand Art.
