Bhubaneswar: Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian on Saturday reviewed the development works at the Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), previously College of Engineering and Technology (CET), in Bhubaneswar.
The Odisha Assembly had in September 2021 passed the Odisha University of Technology and Research Bill 2021, paving the way for the up-gradation and rechristening of the Bhubaneswar-based government-run College of Engineering and Technology (CET) into a non-affiliating Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) unitary university.
The OUTR is built on around 100 acres of land and has a student strength of over 4000. All students will have the opportunity to stay on campus once the up-gradation work is complete.
Pandian was accompanied by Skill Development and Technical Education Department’s Secretary Hemant Sharma and other government officials.
