Koraput: Two youths were crushed to death and another seriously injured after coming under the wheels of a truck here on Sunday. The incident took place near Champua village under Padua police limits.
The trio was returning from Pujariput village to their home at Padua after attending the ‘Chaita’ festival. On their way back, near Champua, a truck hit their motorcycle from behind and they fell on the road.
While one was killed on the spot, another youth succumbed on the way to the hospital. The third person is undergoing treatment. The incident triggered tension in the region. Police have registered a case and seized the truck.
