Rourkela: The Sundergarh district police have arrested nine persons for their alleged involvement in a betting racket. The accused were betting on Indian Premier League matches and related events in the ongoing tournament.
The accused persons were living in a rented accommodation in Kuanramunda area and operating a racket. The illegal activity was to the tune of several lakh rupees, the police said. Mobile phones, laptops, and other incriminating materials were seized from their possession.
