Bhubaneswar: GRIDCO, a Government of Odisha undertaking and NTPC today signed a Power Sale Agreement (PSA).
The PSA was inked here in the presence of Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Principal Secretary, Energy, said an official press release issued by GRIDCO.
With the signing of the PSA, GRIDCO will procure 200 MW of solar power at the rate of Rs 2.50 per Kwh through Inter State Transmission System (ISTS) from FY-2024-25 for 25 years.
This is the cheapest solar power contracted for State consumption. By availing of this power, GRIDCO shall be able to meet its Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) in future.
Among others, Trilochan Panda, MD, G B Swain, Director (F&CA) and Umakanta Sahoo, Director (T&BD) of GRIDCO Limited and M K Singh, CGM, Subodh Pradhan, AGM and G C Mahapatra, AGM of NTPC Limited and Lipsa Das, Additional Secretary and Sambit Parija, FA-Cum-Addl. Secretary Energy Department were present on the occasion.
