Puri: Bombs were hurled at the house of an enforcement officer under Kumbharapada police limits in Puri district on Saturday.
Reportedly, three bombs were hurled at the house of Kashinath Maharana, who is working as an enforcement officer in Puri Municipality.
A wall of the house was damaged and Maharana’s daughter was reportedly injured in the attack.
Allegedly, some miscreants had stolen pigeons from Maharana’s house on April 16. A complaint in this regard had also been lodged at Kumbharapada Police Station.
While police had not apprehended a single person over it, Maharana yesterday received a threat call to withdraw the case and it was followed by the bomb hurling incident.
