Bhubaneswar: Due to Northwesterly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) is very likely to rise further by 2 to 3 degree Celsius over the districts of Interior Odisha during the next two days, stated the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.
Consequently, maximum temperature (Day Temperature) is likely to be more than 40 degree Celsius and likely to be above normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during next 4 to 5 days.
People are advised to take precautionary measures while going outside during daytime between 1100 IST-1500 IST.
Heat wave condition is very likely at isolated places over the districts of Angul, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Boudh & Sonepur on 25th April, over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir & Angul on 26th April, over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir & Angul on 27th & 28th April, and over the districts of Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi & Nuapada on 29th April, 2022, the IMD added.
