Bhubaneswar: Till now Covid situation is under control in the State, claimed Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das.
The vaccination programme is also on track, Das added.
“I feel one need not be scared but one has to be careful and follow Covid appropriate behaviour,” the Minister said.
On being asked about a possible fourth Covid wave, the Minister remarked, “It’s a matter about which experts can tell, so the question should be put to them.”
He said under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik the government is ready to tackle any situation.
“There was such a big wave but in Odisha, we were able to control the situation under the guidance of CM Naveen Patnaik,” said Das.
He stated that the CM personally monitors testing, etc and keeps a close watch over the situation.
Further, each and every one of the Health Department is sparing no efforts to spread awareness on Covid, he added.
The Minister thanked members of his department, doctors, medical staff and Anganwadi workers for their efforts in tackling Covid at the district level.
