Mahanga: Bhanjanagar police today arrested the Revenue Inspector (RI) of Khartanga under Mahanga tahsil in Cuttack district in connection with a cheating case.
Khartanga RI Dilip Mohanty was arrested from the front of his office by Bhanjanagar police in connection with a case under section 420 IPC.
According to reports, while Mohanty was engaged in land consolidation work at Bhanjanagar as an Amin, a corruption case was registered against him at Bhanjanagar police station.
Though Mohanty was served repeated summons to appear before the police since he avoided the summons he was arrested by Bhanjanagar police.
