Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) today announced dates for by-election in Brajarajnagar Assembly Constituency which fell vacant following the death of Kishore Mohanty.
The by-poll for the seat will be held on May 31, 2022. As per the ECI, the gazette notification for the by-polls will be published on May 4 and candidates can file nominations till May.
Scrutiny of nomination will be held on May 12. The last date to withdraw nomination has been set as May 17. The counting is on June 3. Along with Brajarajnagar, Thrikkakara constituency in Kerala and Champawat in Uttarakhand will go into by-polls on the same day, the ECI stated
