Bhubaneswar: There will be no large change in Maximum temperature (day temperature) in Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days while rainfall or thunderstorm with lightning is to occur at most places, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate Rain/ thunderstorm is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one
or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Nawarangpur, and Kalahandi.
The IMD also stated that a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood around May 4. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over the same region around May 6. It is likely become more marked during subsequent 24 hours.
