Bhubaneswar: As many as 14,935 candidates out of the 5,66,269 candidates who had enrolled for the class IX examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha did not appear in the exam.
The BSE Secretary has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to submit an exhaustive report in respect of the 14935 candidates remaining absent from the examination.
The DEOs have been asked to report on or before May 31 as to why these candidates could not appear, though they were enrolled by their respective Head Masters.
