Jajpur: A police official died after being run over by a Hywa truck while he was clearing the road near Nalanga in Bhadrak district last night.
The deceased identified as Sub-Inspector Sujit Pandab, posted at Bhadrak Town Police Station, was on patrolling duty last night. He was clearing the road after parking his patrolling vehicle when the truck ran over him.
He was being taken to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack but as his condition worsened on the way he was admitted to Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital. However, the doctor there declared him dead.
