Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is keeping a close watch over the Covid-19 situation in the State and will take appropriate precautionary measures as and when the situation so demands, stated Dr Bijay Mohapatra, Director of Health Services (DHS).
The DHS informed that as on date Covid-19 situation in the State is in a much better position and there is nothing to worry about.
Responding to queries from reporters for his reaction to the Centre putting five States on alert on a fresh rise of Covid-19 cases
Dr Mohapatra said that surveillance, testing and vaccination are on track in the State.
“The State government will take appropriate measures if the positivity rate increases in the State. Everything depends on surveillance data and we are strictly monitoring the situation,” said Dr Mohapatra.
