Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday chaired a special review meeting for the preparation of Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra and sought everyone’s cooperation so that the festival would be held in a peaceful and orderly manner.
As the Rath Yatra will be held in the presence of devotees after two years, the Chief Minister was happy that a large number of devotees would come this year. He, therefore, suggested making all sorts of arrangements in advance. Special attention should be given that all the devotees will return with a great experience.
He thanked the servitors for their help in organizing the Rath Yatra during the Covid pandemic, and for pulling the chariot to the Gundicha temple.
Attending the meeting, Law Minister Jagannath Sarka briefed on various decisions related to the preparation of the Rath Yatra and its implementation. Development Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena gave detailed information about all the preparations for the festival.
