Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh on Monday assumed the charge of the Information and Public Relations Department, as the Principal Secretary. Senior officials of the Department – Director, Indramani Tripathy, Director (Technical) Surendra Nath Parida, and Joint Secretary Bishnupriya Sahu, among others welcomed Singh on the occasion.
Following a ceremonial welcome, Singh held a brief meeting with senior officials and discussed various aspects of the functioning of the Department. Singh laid stress on the seamless live telecast of Rath Yatra on all devotional TV channels across India. Besides, devotees in the country should be aware of the schedule of the grand event, he said.
Tripathy apprised Singh of the steps taken by the Department for smooth conduct and telecast of Rath Yatra this year.
