Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force on Sunday carried out a raid at an undisclosed location and apprehended notorious drug smuggler Rana Muna Dora on Sunday night. A native of Patpur in Ganjam district, Dora was wanted by the STF in a narcotics case registered earlier this month.
In this case, contraband Ganja weighing 1,010 kg (more than 10 quintals) was seized from a truck. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Dora was the primary supplier. The accused was forwarded to the court of Special Judge, Bhubaneswar on Monday, the STF stated.
“Dora was on the run after this consignment was apprehended. He is the main supplier of ganja to the interstate drug peddlers,” an STF official said. He was involved in a similar case in which more than 3 tonnes of ganja was recovered. This case was registered in June, 2021 at Patapur.
