Dhenkanal: Two persons were killed in a tragic road accident near Gondia here on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Thuru Naik and Laxman Barda, while a woman, Tulasi Hemrem, who was riding on a motorcycle with them, sustained critical injuries.
The incident took place near Sorisiapada village under Gondia police limits on Kapilash – Tangi road. A motorcycle on which the two youths and woman were travelling rammed into a speeding car leading to the mishap.
The impact of the accident was so intense that the two-wheeler was charred. The two youths died on the spot while Tulasi is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Local police have registered a case in this connection while the car driver has fled.
