Bhubaneswar: On the direction of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, two Cabinet Ministers of the State on Thursday signed the nomination papers of Draupadi Murmu for the presidential election.
Ministers Jagannath Saraka and Tukuni Sahu signed the nomination papers of Murmu, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s presidential candidate. They will also be present tomorrow with Murmu at the time of her filing the nomination.
After a talk with BJP chief J.P. Nadda, the Chief Minister informed Saraka and Sahu will be signing the nomination papers. He had also yesterday appealed to all MLAs of the Odisha Legislative Assembly to support the candidature of Draupadi Murmu as President of India.
