Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident, a man and his son were killed in a road mishap near Jurabaga chhak in Jharsuguda district when the bike in which they were travelling was hit by a pick-up van today.
According to reports, the deceased have been identified as Mohd Mehefuz Alam and his son Mohd Adil of Rehmat Nagar of Belpahar.
While the pick-up van driver fled the spot after causing the accident, tension prevailed in the area as locals blocked the road.
Till reports last came in, police had rushed to the spot and were trying to persuade people to vacate the road blockade.
