Keonjhar: Har Har Shambhu, a devotional number of two youths from Keonjhar district of Odisha is trending on top of the online video-sharing and social media platform YouTube. It has garnered over 38 million (3.8 crores) views in just a matter of two months.
Jeetu Sharma and Abhilipsa Panda are two young musicians from Barbil in Keonjhar district who have given the Shiva Yajur mantra, also known as the Karpura Gauram mantra, and other Sanskrit mantras related to Lord Shiva a modern touch.
It has been well received by the audience. Both Jeetu and Abhilipsa are surprised by the response.
Though being born to a businessman family, Jeetu is addicted to making music video albums and spends thousands of rupees on them. He sometimes borrows money for making the albums. However, he is now able to make money from YouTube. His May earning was reported to be Rs 1.5 lakh.
Abhilipsa is a trained vocalist who has won a number of awards in local, district, and state-level competitions. Her father is a retired army man and her mother is a teacher. She belongs to a family of artists and has been involved in music since birth.
