Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly on Monday witnessed an uproar during the ongoing monsoon session over the suicide of Ruchika Mohanty, a student of BJB Autonomous College.
Legislatures of both BJP and Congress rushed to the podium of the house and raised slogans over the issue, following which, the House was adjourned till 11.30 a.m.
Ruchika was a student of Plus III, Arts at BJB Autonomous College here. She was staying on campus in one of the ladies’ hostels of the institution. Her body was recovered from the hostel on Saturday.
