Sambalpur: A man climbed an electricity tower and threatened to commit suicide following a quarrel with his wife. Such an incident occured at Khandahata village under Rairakhol police limits of Sambalpur district on Monday.
Reportedly, the man identified as Akash Naik of Hanumanpur village under Kaniha police limits of Angul district had visited his in-laws’ house at Khandahata. Following a family feud, he climbed the tower today and threatened to commit suicide.
On getting information, Rairakhol Police and fire services personnel reached the spot and rescued Akash. He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital. As per the last reports, his condition was stated to be stable.
