Bhubaneswar: Authorities of the BJB Autonomous College have set up a committee to investigate the death of Plus III student Ruchika Mohanty who allegedly committed suicide on Saturday.
BJB Autonomous College Principal Niranjan Mishra said that apart from the police investigation, a 7-member Committee has been formed to investigate the death of the girl student.
“We are offering all support and cooperation to the police which is investigating into the case,” he said. The Commissionerate of Police has formed 3 teams which working simultaneously on this case.
Meanwhile, protests by different student groups are on seeking justice for Ruchika, who mentioned about ragging in her suicide note.
She stated that she was ending her life after being fed up with mental harassment by senior girl students.
