Cuttack: Rajesh Maharana, a native of Cuttack in Odisha, set off on a motorbike trip on Saturday to reach Kedarnath in Uttarakhand by covering a distance of around 2,200 kilometres.
Maharana is a goldsmith by profession but his addiction is riding bikes to various famous places of worship in India. He has already travelled to Ladakh on a long bike ride covering a distance of 4,500 kilometres.
After seeking the blessings of the Lord at the Gadgadeshwar Mandir in Cuttack, he started his journey to Kedarnath. Some of his biker friends are to join him on the journey along the way. They aim to cover 500 kilometres daily to reach their destination.
On the way, they will visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and resume their journey to Kedarnath. Maharana plans to visit all the famous Jyotirlinga in India in the future.
