Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep condolences on the death of three persons in a road accident in Sonepur today morning.
The CM announced Rs 2 lakh ex gratia for the families of the three persons who died in the accident. Naveen directed authorities to ensure proper medical treatment for the persons injured in the mishap.
The accident occurred near Badabahali chowk when a car rammed into an auto-rickshaw carrying vegetable sellers who were proceeding towards Sonepur.
Police Inspector Snigdharani Suna and a driver who were in the car which caused the accident fled from the spot, Sonepur SP Amresh Kumar Panda said.
