Bhubaneswar: A couple, Sanjana Periwal and Sanjay Periwal attempted suicide at their flat in Laxmi Sagar area here on Friday afternoon. The duo was rushed to a private hospital nearby, where Sanjana was declared dead.
The couple was rescued by neighbours and rushed to the hospital, but it was too late for the woman. Meanwhile, Sanjay, a wholesale garment dealer, is battling with life at the hospital. The mishap occured when their two children had gone to school, reports stated.
Laxmi Sagar police has registered a case and investigating into the matter.
