Bhubaneswar: A total of 3090 industries are operational in Odisha while 1741 have been closed for various reasons, said Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb on Friday.
In reply to a query of BJD MLA Dhruba Charan Sahoo in the Odisha Assembly, the Minister stated that there are a total of 120 Industrial Estates in the State.
IDCO has leased 6490.638 acres of land to 6333 industries for setting up their businesses in the Industrial Estates. However, only 3090 industries are operational and 1741 have been closed.
